This has a really cool, ebb and flow kinda vibe. Lots of different moving parts that seem to somehow work. I'm all about syncopated rhythms and vibes in music so this hits a spot for me. Well done and good luck in the AIM contest!

Casporb responds:

Thanks! I just got a message that it isn't long enough so I'm gonna make it longer.

this one is grooving dude!

whoiswillsims responds:

Thanks buddy!

I love that gritty tone you got on this man. What's your set up like? Using a pedal or plugins for those tones?

trunotfals responds:

My setup is i usually write in a guitar emulator plugin called ample metal hellraiser, emulating a schecter 9 string hellrazer i believe? And then I will go through and record, and HEAVILY edit on my own 7 string, which i can only tune so low, so then I tune it down a bit to match what I wrote. Honestly doesnt feel worth it to me, save for a very few part where it sounds too machined. even then i leave some of it in cvause im not the greatest guitarist. Plugins are what i use for tone, im using archetype gojira (Neural DSP) and other track I use fortin Nameless, I want tone forge, but no, no pedals. Just straight DI to audio interface, then amp/cab sims. I actually wasnt too sure on this tone, so thank you! I think its growing on me, and the song kind of spanned FROM the tone that I found.

Love that lead playing dude!

Napt responds:

My gratitude, bud.

I dunno what it is man. You constantly make me rethink my disinterest in music like this. :D

Casporb responds:

I'm glad I could! :D

haha love it

ADR3-N responds:

My favorite genre for a reason as you can see xD

So I'm not usually a hip-hop, (I can appreciate most of it, it's just not favorite genre) but I like this one. I'm really jealous of your diversity in submissions. I respect the hell out of artists that can branch outside of their niche and explore other artistic spaces 🥰👊

ADR3-N responds:

Aww, thanks so much! That means a lot from someone who doesn't usually prefer hiphop. In terms of production, I started off with this mix of synthy power metal and discovered hip-hop was more up my alley over years. Owing to a more eclectic, lo-fi aesthetic, it's actually my go-to!

Damn, not sure how I've been on newgrounds for as long as you, and this is the first track from you I've heard. I'm ashamed of myself, lol. this is awesome. Great production, writing and the flow of it is unparalleled. Amazing!

ADR3-N responds:

Multiple years of hiatus, lurking, and genre swaps will do that to you haha. I'll have to check out your stuff now that you mention it! Glad you liked
