I don't know if I'd classify/compare it to Slipknot considering the tone of it doesn't sound anything like them. But not a bad submission anyway. Great job and as far as lyrics go, I think you just have to sit down and really think about what kind of feel you get when you listen to the song and what cadence the lyrics should be sung in. That's what I do when I write my music. Just a thought.

The EQ sounded alright to me. I can't make any suggestions on what to change. Musically I think you did a good job as well. I like the transistions from phrase to phrase.

great work man. you really captured the emotion and feeling of what you described. I, too can pictured someone reading "letters in the rain". Great work and it had a nice progression to it.

as stated before, it definitely fits the title. I like this about it. I hate submissions that don't really have "accurate" titles. Or the title is just some random name. But this one fits and the music is cool. Great job!
